Joel Koops, vice-president of MSW Plastics in Palmerston, is a new “angel investor” for the Hawks’ Nest, a local Dragons’ Den– inspired competition.
The Saugeen Economic Development Corporation (SEDC) and Bruce Community Futures Development Corporation (Bruce CFDC) made the announcemen recently.
Koops has been involved in business since 2001, and part of the ownership of MSW Plastics since it began in 2007.
He partners in providing customer focus in MSW’s products and services.
He has been a part of the vision that led MSW to be a leader in the plastic extrusion industry today.
“He has helped grow the company and works on putting the right people in the right leadership positions,” organizers state.
Koops lives in Guelph with his wife and three children.
He considers his business to be an opportunity to give back to the community and has been involved in giving time and resources to various charities.
